Who we are
MOGADONKO AGENCY ("MOGADONKO", "we") is a technology company based in Bonaberi, Douala, Cameroon. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at hi@mogadonko.com or on +237 651 160 704.
This policy follows Law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 on the protection of personal data in Cameroon and applies to everyone who uses this website, wherever they are.
What we collect
We collect only what we need:
- Enquiry details you choose to send through our contact form: your name, organisation, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the type of project, an optional budget range and your message.
- Messages you send us directly by email or WhatsApp.
- Technical data needed to run the website securely, such as your IP address and browser type in server logs, kept for a short period.
- If analytics are enabled, anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, device type, approximate country). Google Analytics only runs if you accept it in the cookie banner.
We do not ask for sensitive data such as health, financial or identity documents through this website. Please do not send them.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal, based on the consent you give when you tick the box on our form.
- To deliver and support a project once we agree to work together, based on our contract with you.
- To keep the website secure and working, based on our legitimate interest and legal obligations.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it, only with your consent where cookies are involved.
We never sell your data, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking first.
Who receives it
Your data is seen only by the MOGADONKO team members who need it. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the website:
- Our website hosting provider, which stores the website and its server logs.
- An email delivery service, which carries contact form messages to our inbox.
- The AI provider that answers the website assistant (one of Groq, Google Gemini, Mistral, NVIDIA, Cloudflare Workers AI or OpenRouter and the model provider it routes to), which processes the messages you type so it can reply. Some free AI services may use these messages to improve their models, so do not type passwords, ID numbers or health details into the assistant.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp.
- Google Analytics or Plausible Analytics, only if analytics are enabled and, for Google, only if you accept.
Some of these providers store data outside Cameroon. Where the law requires it, we take the steps needed for such transfers, including any authorisation from the personal data protection authority, and we choose providers with strong security.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months. Client project records are kept for as long as the contract requires and then for the period required by law for accounting and tax purposes. Server logs are kept for no more than 90 days. We do not store conversations with the website assistant on our servers; they stay in your browser tab until you close it.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your data, or restrict how we use it.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw your consent, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.
Write to hi@mogadonko.com with the subject "Personal data". We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to Cameroon's personal data protection authority once it is in operation.
Security
The website is served only over HTTPS, access to enquiries is limited to the team, and our systems are kept up to date. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach affecting your data we will inform you and the authority as the law requires.
Children
This website is intended for adults and organisations. We do not knowingly collect data from children through it. Our Academy enrols minors only with a parent or guardian.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and show the new date at the top.
