An engineering automation tool that reads DXF cross-sections of aluminium extrusion profiles and extracts area, circumscribed circle and chamber count, with diagrams and a combined PDF report for every batch.
The challenge
Engineers were measuring each extrusion profile by hand in CAD software, a slow and error-prone job when a catalogue holds hundreds of drawings.
What we built
Engineers drop DXF files into an input folder. The tool computes the key geometric parameters for each profile, draws a diagram of what it measured and assembles everything into an organised output folder and a PDF report.
Key features
Batch processing
Hundreds of drawings in one run.
Visual checks
A diagram for every profile measured.
PDF reporting
One combined report per batch.
