A pharmacy point-of-sale, stock and accounting system in daily use at Zion Pharmacy, Buea, now being rebuilt as a subscription product for pharmacies across Cameroon. It runs on a server inside the pharmacy, works offline, and records every sale, refund and stock movement against the person who made it.
The challenge
In a busy pharmacy, small gaps add up: sales that are not recorded, cash that does not match the till, stock moved between the warehouse and the shelf without a trace, and products that expire unnoticed.
Cloud-only software stops the counter when the connection drops, and most packages cannot tell the owner who really made a sale when staff share one logged-in screen.
What we built
We built PharmaSoft around how Zion Pharmacy actually works, and kept improving it with the lead pharmacist as new needs came up: purchases, retail and warehouse stock, credit sales, insurance claims and more than sixty reports.
The new subscription edition rests on a few firm ideas. The person who types the user code owns the transaction, even at someone else’s desk. Stock is a ledger written once and never edited, so the shelf count cannot quietly drift. A box, a strip and a single tablet are one product. And a built-in Doctor page checks stock, money, printers and backups, then explains any problem in plain language.
