A digital queue system for a national identity card (CNI) issuance centre, with a self-service kiosk, an online status page for citizens, agent and admin dashboards and a live display for the waiting room.
The challenge
At identity card centres, citizens often arrive at dawn and wait for hours without knowing their place, while agents juggle new applications, renewals and collections in one crowded line.
What we built
Citizens take a ticket at a kiosk for the service they need. Tickets are assigned by priority and by each agent’s availability and workload, and every screen (kiosk, agent desk, admin panel, waiting-room display) updates in real time over WebSockets.
Citizens can check their position online, so they can wait outside or nearby instead of standing in the hall. Administrators see service times and volumes to plan staffing.
The project came to us through Sule Yaouba, founder of Xcel Group, when Aminu Ibrahim, a student at ICT University, needed a working system for his research. We took it from idea to a running application with a clean, easy interface that he was proud to present.
